As we prepare to celebrate

As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord
Let us always remember why He came
And as we present our gifts to our friends and all our loved ones
Let us offer Him his holy gift of praise

Allelu, Alleluia (3)
Praise the Lord

As we offer Him our praise
Let us sacrifice our lives
So that all the world may know of His love
For the baby in the stole
Was a gift from God to all
Thank you Father for Your perfect gift of Love

Jesus is coming

Jesus is coming, Jesus is coming,

Jesus is coming again,

Rise from your slumber, welcome the Day-star,

Open your hearts to the King!

You in darkness, greet the Light,

Shining through the dreary night.

Unto us is coming soon

Jesus, our Emmanuel.

By these names shall He be called:

Everlasting Father,

Counsellor most wonderful,

Mighty God and Prince of peace.

And the government shall be firm

Upon his shoulder.

He shall rule with righteousness.

Truth and justice shall prevail.

Joy to you, I say, rejoice,

For the Lord is very near.

In the desert make a way

And his glory shall appear.

O come, O come, Emmanuel

O come, O come Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here,
Until the Son of God appear.

Rejoice! rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel.

O Come, Thou Wisdom, Son divine,
Our weaken’d wills to Thee incline!
And shed Thy light o'er life's dark way,
Lest, lured by sin, we go astray.

O Come, Thou Sprout of Jesse's tree,
Free us from Satan's tyranny!
From fires of hell Thy people save,
And give us vict'ry o'er the grave.

O come, Thou King of all the earth,
That we may share Thy wondrous birth!
Come, rule our hearts and mind and will,
That we Thy precepts may fulfil.

Christmas, a saviour will come

Christmas, a saviour will come, (has)
Christmas, a babe in a stable,
Lying on straw in a manager,
Jesus the Lord will be born. (now is)
High up in the skies above,
The voices of angels will sing: (have sung)
Glory to God in the highest
And peace to his people on earth.

To all the destitute,
Crying to him in starvation
To all the destitute,
Hope he brings and reassurance.

To all the desolate,
Pleading for help in misfortune,
To all the desolate,
Love he brings and consolation.

To all the people he loves,
Pardon he shows and forgiveness,
To all the people he loves,
Peace he brings and joy awakens.

Let heaven rejoice and earth be glad

Let heaven rejoice and earth be glad
Let all creation sing
Let children proclaim through every land
Hosanna to the King.

Sound the trumpet into the night
The day of the Lord is near
Wake His people, lift your voice
Proclaim it to the world. Chorus

Rise in splendor, shake off your sleep
Put on your robes of joy
And in the morning
You shall see
The Glory of the Lord. Chorus

Raise your voice, be not afraid
Proclaim it in every land
Christ has died but he has risen
He will come again. Chorus

Sing a new song unto the Lord,
For he has done wonderful deeds,
Praise him, thank him, dance before him,
Play before the Lord. Chorus

Come Emmanuel come

Come Emmanuel come to save your people,
Come Emmanuel, come delay no more.

Come O David’s Son, come to save your people,
Come Emmanuel, come delay no more.

Come O Rising Sun,come to save your people,

Come desire of the world come to save your people,
Come Emmanuel, come delay no more.

Come delight of our hearts come to save your people,
Come Emmanuel, come delay no more.

Come, Redeemer and Lord come to save your people,
Come Emmanuel, come delay no more.

Awake from your slumber

Awake from your slumber! Arise from your sleep!
A new day is dawning for all those who weep.
The people in darkness have seen a great light.
The Lord of our longing has conquered the night.

Let us build the city of God.
May our tears be turned into dancing.
For the Lord our light and our love has turned the night into day.

We are sons of the morning; we are daughters of day.
The One who has loved us has brightened our way.
The Lord of all kindness has called us to be
a light for all people to set their hearts free.

God is light; in God there is no darkness.
Let us walk in the light. God's children one and all.
O comfort my people make gentle your words,
proclaim to my city the day of her birth.

O city of gladness now lift up your voice,
proclaim the good tidings that all may rejoice

The King of Glory comes

The King of Glory comes, the nation rejoices,
Open the gates before him, lift up your voices.

Who is the king of glory ? How shall we call him ?
He is Emmanuel, the promised of ages. Chorus.

In all of  Galilee,  in city or village,
He goes among his people, curing their illness. Chorus.

Sing then of  David’s Son, our Saviour and brother,
In all of Galilee, was never another. Chorus.

He gave his life for us, the pledge of salvation,
He took upon himself the sins of the nation. Chorus.

come, and be born in our hearts.

Come, O Prince of Peace,

Saviour’s Day

Many  have  come  from  the  valley,  many  have  come  from  the  hills,
Many have started their journey home   to be with someone, with someone,
On the Saviour’s day.
Joining  the  old  and  the  young  ones,  joining  the  black  and  the  white,
Meet  to  the  need  of  the  hungry  is  He,  so  we  ever  remember  Him,
On   the Saviour’s day.

Open your eyes on the Saviour’s day,
Don’t look back or turn away,
Life can be yours, if you’ll only stay.
He is calling you, calling you, on the Saviour’s day.

Praise  to  the  God  of  the  present  [echo  :  praise  him,  praise  him]
Praise  to  the  God  of  the  past       [echo  :  praise  to  our  king]
Praise to the hope & the future he brings.
We  will  sing  to him,  sing  to  him,  on  the  Saviour’s  day. Refrain...

On the Saviour’s day, he is calling you,
On the Saviour’s day      all echo (calling, calling, calling you)

HAPPY HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Chorus 1 :
Happy, Happy Christmas, Happy Christmas everyone,
Happy, Happy Christmas,
Happy Christmas, Love has come for everyone.

Chorus 2 :
Happy, Happy Christmas, Happy Christmas everyone,
Happy, Happy Christmas,
Happy Christmas, Love has come for everyone.

We were alone in the cold of the night, searching for Love,
We were reaching for his warmth and Golden Light… Chorus 1

God sending his Son, sending his love to the world,
Gave our hearts rebirth,
Into a life that’s full of meaning and heaven on this earth.

IT CAME UPON A MIDNIGHT CLEAR

It came upon a midnight clear, that glorious song of Old,
From angels bending near the earth, to touch their harps of Gold,
Peace on the earth, goodwill to men, from heaven’s all gracious king,
The world in solemn stillness lay, to hear the angels sing.

Still through the cloven skies they come, with peaceful wings unfurled,
And still their heavenly music floats, over all the weary world,
Above its sad and lowly plains, they bend on hovering wing,
And ever over its Babel sounds, the blessed angels sing.

THY KINGDOM COME

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
So shalt thou rule and reign
Thy light shall shine on all the earth,
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.

You  had  no  royal  palace  but  a  stable  cold  and  bare,
You had no watchful servants, only   cows and sheep stood there,
But light shone down from heaven
And both kings and shepherds came.
To worship at thy cradle, while angelic hosts proclaimed

Thy coming had been promised for some thousand years before,
Thy birth  would  bring  the  kingdom  that  will  reign  forever  more!
You  came  a  little  baby  to  show  how  we  enter  in,
For  to dwell  within  thy  kingdom  we  must  be  born  again..

You  came  to  earth  O  child  of  love,  the  news  did  angels  sing,
You  were  just  a  tiny  babe  but  born  to  be  our  king!
We  celebrate  this  Christmas  eve,  thy  birth  so  long  ago,
And  wait  for  thy  return  as  king  to  save  this  world  of  woe!
Thy love gives to us life and liberty!
Jesus, we will give to thee praise eternally!

O Holy child of Bethlehem (teach us of thy ways)
Thy Christmas star shine in our hearts (to  guide  us  all  ourdays)
You  spoke  of  peace  for  all  mankind  (that  soon  will  be)
You’ll  come  again  unto  this  earth  and  we  shall  see

Stay awake

Stay awake, the Master is coming.
Be not asleep for all may be lost,
Stand ready, the Son of Man is coming
At a time we may least expect!

Prepare the way and clear the bye lanes
For our Lord and Master yet to come,
With open minds and grateful hearts
Let’s now repent our sinful past.

The Master’s work proclaims his glory,
He has given sight to the blind,
The deafened ears have been unsealed,
The lame have leapt and sung for joy.

“Forgive,” he says, “all those who hurt you,
Love instead as god’s good children should,
Don’t be their judge lest you be judged,
As God alone can judge us all.”

Let’s love them all who are around us,
Most of all the poorest of the poor,
By this we’ll bring a ray of hope
And joy into their saddened hearts.

Come and Save us O Lord

Come and Save us O Lord, with Power and Might
Maranatha, Come O Lord

I will sing to my God never ceasing,
All my life, I will tell them  of  his  wonders,
He’s the maker of  all earth & heaven and  all the  seas and  all they hold Chorus

The almighty is faithful forever ,
aHe is just  to the poor and  the outraged,
It is he who gives bread to the hungry, who delivers the captives from their chains. Chorus.

Bestir thy power

Bestir thy power and come, Lord, To save our sin-laden race.
Reveal thy bounty and goodness, Diffuse thy splendour and grace.

Lift your eyes to the hill, Seek the Saviour until he appears,
It is God who comes to our aid, God incarnate our ransom has paid. Chorus.

From the Lord comes release, He makes evil to cease all around,
Night and day he guards us from harm, we depend on the strength of his arm. Chorus.

Come, Redeemer and Lord, Spread thy peace and concord on the earth,
For thy Second Coming we yearn, From our bondage on sing we will turn. Chorus.

To our God let us raise, Our glad voices in praise and esteem,
Render thanks and bless him in song, To him glory and honour belong. Chorus.

Maranatha

Like a sea without a shore love divine is boundless.
Time is now and evermore and his love surrounds us.

Maranatha! Maranatha!
Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus, Come!

So that mankind could be free he appeared among us,
Blest are those who have not seen, yet believe his promise.

All our visions, all our dreams are but ghostly shadows
Of the radiant clarity waiting at life’s close

Death where is your victory? Death where is your sting?
Closer than the air we breathe is our risen King.

Jesus come

Jesus, come, Jesus, come, Jesus, come,
Say to us: I’m the one who is to come.

He will come just when you feel He’ll never come.
He will come just when you think He is gone.
He’ll be there just when you find He’s elsewhere.
Please don’t be late, be awake, let Him come.

He will come just when you want to shut your door.
He will come just when you want to be alone.
He’ll be there just when you are not aware.
Don’t make Him wait, be alert, let Him come.

He will come to share his Love, Peace and Joy.
He will come to save us all from sin.
He’ll be there to lift us up when we fall.
He’s knocking hard, open wide, let Him come.

Go up to the mountain

Go up to the mountain, joyful, bearer of good news,
Shout with a full voice, our God is near.

Those who hope in the Lord find their strength renewed,
They soar like an eagle, like an eagle they fly.

Those who hope in the Lord, never grow weary
And never lose heart should they run or walk.

Se, the Lord is coming, is coming with strength
Like a shepherd, leading the flock.

Yahweh, come to us and our harps will resound
With such gladness, all the days of our life.

Yes, it is the living, the living who praise you,
And we speak to all of your faithfulness.
