Come, come to the banquet

Come, come to the banquet,
Come, come to the feast: Here the hungry find plenty, here the thirsty shall drink,
Here at the supper of Jesus, come to the feast.

Like the child whose fishes and loaves Fed the multitude,
in the Lord the little we have Broken
and shared, becomes abundant food.

'Til the seed is given to earth, it is just one grain,
But once sown, its death brings new birth,
The harvest is rich; what's lost is raised again.

In the stranger by our side, in the least and last,
In the thirst for justice we share,
Christ is here in the breaking of the bread.

It takes courage

It takes courage to answer a call,
It takes courage to give your all,
It takes courage to risk your name
It takes courage to be true.

It takes courage to dare, what no other would share,
To be standing alone, one whom no one will own,
To be ready to stake, to be loyal not fake,
It takes courage to be true.

It takes courage to say what you know will not pay.
To give each one a share though there’ll be less to spare.
To be seeking no more than the neighbor next door.
It takes courage to be true.

It takes courage to leave what good fortune can give,
And to go to a land where the poor need a hand;
To be spending one’s days in less leisurely ways.
It takes courage to be true.

You who are burdened

You who are burdened, toil and sweat,
Longing for rest but all in vain.

Be not afraid of sacrifice,
Be not afraid in front of death,
Lift up your eyes to Jesus Christ,
Cry out to him and never despair.

All you that slip on the way and fall,
Hearts wounded deep and full of woe.

All you that weep in prison cells,
People who flee from home and kin.

All you whom strife has torn apart,
People whom one has crucified.

Lord your ways are true and just

Lord, your ways are true and just
And we will praise your name,
And to you we give our trust
And we will praise your name.

Praise your name (2), we will praise your name.
Jesus Christ, You are the Lord
And we will praise your name.

Lord, your law is our delight...
Yes, your word gives life and light...
Lord, your truth for ever stands...
Yes, your truth makes us all free...

Guide us, Lord, along your path...
Send our hearts to do your will...

The harvest is great and plentiful

The harvest is great and plentiful
But the lab'rers are very few,
So go in my name, reach out and proclaim:
"The kingdom is near to you".

Nothing for your journey take,
No staff, no bag, no bread.
But my peace you give them and
The words that I have said.

Sow my seed along the path,
The rock, the thorns, good soil.
Some may wither, some may grow
And bring forth hundredfold.

See the harvest white with grain:
The time to reap has come.
Look, the winepress is so full,
The vats now overflow.

Live the "secret" you impart:
That death gives way to life.
How the cross of Christ destroys
The wisdom of the wise!

I am the light

I am the light, bringing You out of darkness,
So come, take my light to the world.
I am the Bread you must feed to the hungry.
The wine that must cheer every heart.

Foxes have holes, birds have their nests,
But the Son of Man has no place to rest.
Come, follow Me, be the light of the nations,
Leave your nets and come, follow Me.

I am the Life that must change every life
And the Way that must alter your ways.
I am the Truth and my Word is the cross
You must take if you want to be free.

I am the Sower, come, work in my vineyard,
My field. Tend my vines, sow the grain.
And should it fall to the ground, it can only
Spring up with new life, hundredfold.

I am the Shepherd come into my sheepfold
To help feed my lambs, feed my sheep.
Bring back the straying and bind up their wounds
And rejoice when you’ve found what was lost.

When the Kindness of Our God

When the kindness of our God was revealed in Jesus,

with compassion and with love were we born.

In the spirit of that love life abounds with thankfulness,

for the gift we know in Jesus, the Christ.

 May the grace of God be ever in our life;

With a song may gratitude become our home.

Alleluia, Alleluia.

Alleluia, Alleluia.

With the gentleness of peace, born in love of God as friend,

so much healing and forgiveness shall we know.

And with peace is sure to come such a deep, abiding joy

which the many deaths of life cannot dispel.

In diverse and sundry ways of the past did God reveal

something of the love in which life can thrive.

But in Jesus did this love come to fullness for all time

and in him we are alive with spirit joy.

The Savior is waiting

The Savior is waiting to enter your heart
Why don't you let Him come in
There's nothing in this world to keep you apart
What is your answer to Him

Time after time He has waited before
And now He is waiting again
To see if you're willing to open the door
Oh how He wants to come in

If you'll take one step toward the Savior, my friend
You'll find His arms open wide
Receive Him, and all of your darkness will end
Within your heart He'll abide

Here I am Lord I come to do your will

Here I am, Lord, I come to do Your will

Make of me what pleases You

Here I am, here I am, Lord.

You spoke my name and beckoned me to come

Before You, now I stand to listen to Your Word.

You have the words of everlasting life

If I should turn from you, to whom would I go?

What joy it is to stand amid your glory

Let me always stay in your presence, O God.

Show me the path that You would have me walk

And give me grace to do what is good in Your sight.

Jesus Christ living in us

Jesus Christ, living in us,
You are our gladness forever.

You are the Truth, the Light, alleluia!
Now, as it was, for all the ages to come, alleluia!

You are the life, O Christ, alleluia!
One who abides in you, forever shall live, alleluia!

You are the Word of God, alleluia!
Who has revealed the Father's love to the world, alleluia!

You are the Saviour, Lord, alleluia!
Into this world you came to save what was lost, alleluia!

Then at the end of time, alleluia!
You will return, forever bringing us joy, alleluia!

Praise be to you, O Christ, alleluia!
Praise to the Father, Son and Spirit divine, alleluia!

Like the woman at the well

Like the woman at the well, I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy.
And then I heard my Savior speaking
“Draw from My well that never shall run dry.”

Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up Lord;
Come and quench this thirsting of my soul.
Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more.
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole.

There are millions in this world who are craving
The pleasure earthly things afford.
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ my Lord.

So my brother if the things this world gave you
Leave hunger that won’t pass away,
My blessed Lord will come and save you
If you kneel to Him and humbly pray.

Father forgive them

Father, forgive them.
They know not what they do. [2]

They see me lying in the street
And never lend a hand;
The night goes by while they're asleep,
Yet I'm still in the sand;
And I cry each night for their blinded eyes,
That never, never seem to see.

They call me friend when they're in need,
I know it's all a sham,
For when my sufferings make me weep,
They simply wash their hands
And I'm left alone in despair to moan;
They'll never, never understand.

We crucified your Son in shame,
His message we ignored;
Though time has passed, we're still the same,
Indifferent as before;
And he dies each day in our hearts of clay;
O Father, teach us how to love.

Blessed are they who are poor in spirit

Blessed are they who are poor in spirit,
Theirs is the Kingdom of God.
Bless us, O Lord, make us poor in spirit;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

We are the light of the world.
May our light shine before all,
That they may see the good that we do,
And give glory to God.

Blessed are they who are meek and humble,
They will inherit the earth.
Bless us, O Lord, make us meek and humble;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

Blessed are they who will mourn in sorrow.
They will be comforted.
Bless us, O Lord, when we share their sorrow;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

Blest those who hunger and thirst for justice.
They will be satisfied.
Bless us, O Lord, hear our cry for justice;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

Blessed are they who show others mercy,
They will know mercy too!
Bless us, O Lord, hear our cry for mercy;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

Blessed the hearts that are clean and holy,
They will behold the Lord!
Bless us, O Lord, make us pure and holy;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

Blessed are they who bring peace among you,
They are the children of God!
Bless us, O Lord, may Your peace be with us;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

Blest those who suffer from persecution,
Theirs is the Kingdom of God.
Bless us O Lord, when they persecute us;
Bless us, O Lord, our God.

Draw me, O Lord, to your heart of love

Draw me, O Lord, to your heart of love
Draw me, O Lord, to your love.
Draw me, O Lord, to your boundless love.
But draw me, draw me, my God.

Draw me, draw me, draw me to Yourself
Draw me, draw me, my heart, Lord, was made for You.

Draw me, O Lord, to your wounded side,
Opened for me there to hide,
And let me drink from the fount of life,
That I may thirst never more.

You have the words of eternal life.
You are the One sent from God,
Do feed me, Lord, with the bread of life,
That I may hunger no more.

It is your name we bear in our hearts

It is your name we bear in our hearts
And we know it through Jesus' words of life.
All the love you have given to Him:
In this we share, in this we live.

May we all be one in God's own life
and see his presence so longing to be known.
And the path that we are free to choose.
Will lead us on in search of what is real.

True to his name, we hope to live for ever,
Seeking peace that comes from deep within.
When we search for meaning beyond words,
We'll see a new day dawning in our world.

O let the Son of God enfold you

O let the Son of God enfold you
With His Spirit and His love
Let Him fill your heart and satisfy your soul
O let Him have the things that hold you
And His Spirit like a dove
Will descend upon your life and make you whole

Jesus, we thank you for your word of truth,
Jesus, we thank you for the bread of life.

O come and sing this song with gladness
As your hearts are filled with joy
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to His name
O give Him all your tears and sadness
Give Him all your years of pain
And you'll enter into life in Jesus' name

Make us true people

Make us true people to all those in need,
Filled with compassion in thought, word and deed;
Loving our neighbour, whatever the cost,
Feeding the hungry and finding the lost. (2)

Lord, make us prophets to cry out the way,
telling the nations of mercy’s new day.
Let us break barriers of hatred and scorn,
speaking of hope to all people forlorn. (2)

Lord, make us healers of body and mind;
give us your power to bring sight to the blind;
Love to the loveless and gladness for pain,
Filling all hearts with the joy of your name. (2)

When I look into your holiness / I worship you

When I look into your holiness
When I gaze into your loveliness
When all things that surround
become shadows in the light of You.

I worship You, I worship You,
The reason I live is to worship You
I worship You, I worship You,
The reason I live is to worship You

When I’ve found the joy of reaching your heart.
When my will becomes enthralled in your love
When all things that surround
become shadows in the light of You.
